Memorial Day

Today was so much fun! A group of 5 couples (including Dave & I) went to my mom and Wendy's house for a pool party. The 10 of us played pool volleyball, boys v. girls. This time the boys won all the sets we played :o(
It was still really fun, as you can see from the pictures...

Then while the next competition was being prepared the boys had fun skim boarding across the pool on Shawn's boogie-board...

Then the couples faced off at a shooting contest. My mom set up a target box and let us use her pellet gun. Each couple had 5 rounds each to shoot for a combined score. Dave and I got 3 points, which put us in 3rd place. And the Johnson’s and the Smiths had to have a speed round shoot off for the win. The Johnson's ended up the victors.

Here Eric and Natalie are being presented with their award for wining the shooting contest:

Then we had a wonderful meal that my mom and Wendy prepared for us. Not only was the food scrumptious, but the table setting was simply elegant.

What a wonderful day of friends, food, and FUN!

And here are some other random pictures I took today...

I am glad that this whole pool volleyball rivalry has been put to rest. It was quite a decisive victory put on by 5 gentlemen yesterday. We understand now the great responsibility that will come with being professional pool volleyball players but we accept that responsibility with open arms. Sure the crazy schedule and non-stop touring might get old, but for now it is all about the fans and young kids who idolize us and want to be like us some day. We are the new Dream Team.
