Stories with Sarah

This weekend I had to think of a story to tell during Sarah's bachelorette party to "roast" her. Trying to think of just one funny story was a real challenge. We've have countless stories!
  • the spider-rats in Cabo (actually crabs!)
  • our ride home from Mammoth
  • our BIG wedding gig
  • playing Sorry with Brad & Chris
  • numerous pranks that only we thought were funny
  • throwing parties that no body showed up to
  • getting lost in our own housing tract during our 1st venture after getting my license
Just to list a few...

But, really I think that is the story! It's all the stories from 3rd grade to each graduation, to each boy friend, each breakup, my wedding, and now hers. Sarah has played a significant role in my life and continues to do so. Our relationship has ebbed and flowed of the years. At times we have been inseparable and at other times worlds apart. But, our friendship has endured. She truly knows me; my history and my future. And I her. Her friendship is absolutely a gift from God. One that I praise Him for continually.

Sarah's Bachelorette Party

We met at Laura's house in La Habra. Then all went together to the Hollywood Bowl. There we had a picnic dinner and "roasted" Sarah with funny stories. Then we went to the Faith Hill concert inside the Hollywood Bowl. Then back to Laura's home for some very special cupcakes, telephone pictionary, fun gifts, and girl talk. Most of us spent the night and had breakfast together in the morning.

Drew & Krista's Wedding

Yesterday was the wedding of Krista Hagenbart & Drew Roberts. I've known Krista since elementary school as my best friend's older sister. My early memories of Krista revolved around her driving Sarah & I around in her dark blue Saturn named Moony. However, as we got older I got to know Krista as Debbee's (Dave's sister) best friend. But, it was probably our vacation together in Cabo where I really got to know Krista as a friend of my own.

Krista is such a beautiful person both inside & out. And as I have gotten to know Drew and see them together it is so clear that they are a perfect match that only God could have created. Seeing them get married and sharing in their day was so special to me.

Here are some pic of the event: The D & K was supposed to be for Drew & Krista, but it works for us too! :)(more pics to come from the dance floor off Debbee's camera)

Palm Desert

This week has been a mandatory shut down week at work so Dave & I decided to make the most of it in Palm Desert. We relaxed, ate, lounged, swam, and generally enjoyed each other.

Dinner at Sullivan's to celebrate our 9 year anniversary:
The food was super good, but the portions were HUGE!

Before dinner at The Cliffs:
These flowers were all around the pool area. I thought that were gorgeous:
