Just couldn't decide....

Surgery Update

1st of all, thank you so much for all for your prayers!

According to the surgeon, he was able to get everything accomplished during the surgery and all went very smoothly. However, she didn't get out of recovery until 4:45pm (over 4 hours after getting out of surgery). They were having a real hard time with pain management and that was the cause for the delay. I finally got to see her at 5pm and she seemed alert and well. Still in some pain and uncomfortable, but she said she was hurting a lot less. I got her all set up in her room and discussed her complications after the last 2 surgeries with the nurses so that they could watch her closely. When I left she was ready to go to sleep.

I called the nurses station this morning and they said Mom is doing well. She had trouble sleeping last night so they gave her a sleeping pill, but otherwise all looks good.

I plan to visit her tonight.

Mom's Surgery

Tomorrow morning at 6:45am my mom is going in for anther back surgery. Please be praying that she does not have another reaction like the last 2 surgeries. The last surgery was a worse reaction then the one before. Please pray that this one goes smoothly and she has no adverse reactions.
