So yesterday we went to Fashion Island to shoot our Christmas Card photo. Of course I can't share the card pics with you yet, but I can show some of the pics I took of the coi pond :o)
I took this last picture by sticking the camera out the window while driving down PCH on the way home.

Koi are awesome. Did you know that they live to be about 100 years old? I also just learned that they are very much community oriented. I was told a story of a Koi that had gotten out of the water and was drying out. It's owner found him there and got him back into the water but the fish was still not able to swim so it just sank to the bottom of the pond. All the other Koi swam underneath it and lifted it back to the top and continued to carry it until it was able to swim on it's own. Very cool!!!
