Weekend Update

It was another good ride this past Saturday. Pretty similar to the week before, but without the audience. Dave will be coming again this Saturday to watch though :o)

Then it was off to a Pastor's Retreat for SCU. It turned out to be really awesome! It was great to get some time away with the other pastors connecting and refocusing. I definitely feel reenergized. Answered prayer!

(I will post some pic as soon as I get some from Jeff - the official retreat photographer)

An Audiance

What a fun Saturday!

The day started with a ride on my favorite horse. But, this week Dave came to watch! It was the first time he has seen me ride Breezy. He seemed to be impressed. He said that his favorite part was watching the run downs/sliding stops and then when Breezy was sniffing him after our ride. The entire ride was great though. Again, no circle problems! And the run downs and stops were really great! Breezy just has so much style when he stops it is so fun!

Then off to Chino for a Hobby Horse photo shoot. We only had to shoot one garment with a horse and then a few shots for an article Suzi (the Original/Ultimate Hobby Girl) is doing for Horse & Rider Magazine. I got to see a preview of the 2006 Hobby Horse catalog and it looks really cool. So many great blouses this year!!!

Then I met my friend Anita at Mom and Wendy's house. Anita used to ride a lot when she lived in England and really misses. And mom and Wendy have a horse that they are using on their property as a recipient mare, but she is really bouncy so they don't enjoy exercising her. So Anita came out to give her a try. Anita gets to ride and Mom and Wendy get a break from having to exercise the mare, what a deal! Then we all went to dinner at a local Norco restaurant.

It's Fixed!

I had a great ride this morning! Seems that all our circling problems are over. Rick worked on it all week and now coming down to small-slow is easy. A couple weeks ago I felt like any move I made could cause a problem and my margin for error was like a millimeter. And now I feel like I can really ride him and am under control instead of trying to just sit there and not mess anything up. And lead changes - peice of cake! Pretty much everything went well. The only thing that wasn't near perfect was the right turn-around, but by the end of the ride it got much better. So I think we are back on track.

Marathon Video

So I think we finally have the video ready to show you. Unfortunately, I don't think the audio is working yet. But, at least it is something. Sorry I am not a very good camerawoman. I think I will stick with my day job, after all.

Enjoy! Marathon Viedo

He Ran a Good Race

Jeff ended up finishing the marathon in 3:15:13 shattering is personal best by over 15 minutes and qualifying him for the Boston Marathon!

WAY TO GO, JEFF!!!

Soon I will be posting a video of our experience cheering Jeff on this morning at mile 24!

*edit*

After spending 4+ hours this afternoon trying to get a viewable video from the camcorder to the computer to post for you, we have decided to throw in the towel. Sorry :o(
